At BaselWorld 2014, Bulova commemorated an impressive year marked by the appointment of a new president, the successful launch of the Caravelle New York line, and announcement as the Official Timekeeper and Global Partner for Manchester United. These milestone achievements were celebrated by watch industry leaders, executives and key media at Bulova’ s annual cocktail party at the Diamond Pavilion on the Square at BaselWorld on March 28.
Throughout the evening, party attendees had the opportunity to mix and mingle with special guests, Manchester United legends Denis Irwin and Peter Schmeichel, as well as enjoy a private viewing of Manchester United’s Premier League Trophy, celebrating the team’s 20th title. The launch of the Accu•Swiss line – Bulova’s premier Swiss-made brand is now re-born with a focus on simple elegance, classic design and Swiss precision. All timepieces in the Accu•Swiss line feature the finest Swiss automatic, mechanical and quartz movements. Accu•Swiss watches will be available in May 2014 at major US department stores nationwide.
The introduction of Bulova Accutron II – Inspired by vintage timepieces reflecting Bulova’s rich heritage, Bulova Accutron II watches offer a proprietary quartz torsional resonator movement for accuracy to within seconds per year. Categorized within five distinct collections, Bulova Accutron II watches are available for purchase now at fine retailers across the country.
The unveiling of the Manchester United Squad Collection – This spring, Bulova will introduce a series of co-branded watches as part of a comprehensive three-year sponsorship agreement with legendary football club, Manchester United. Part of the larger Percheron Collection within the Accu•Swiss line, watches in the collection will be available in steel and grade 5 titanium and feature the signature Manchester United crest. Additionally, there is a limited-edition gold version crafted with 999.9 pure 24-karat which can be custom ordered with the Manchester United crest. This limited edition timepiece requires a six-month lead time. Customized co-branded watches will also be created for the first team of Manchester United players and coaches.
