Chronograph A
Archive Series
A style inspired by history, the Chronograph A is a nod to the popular styles from Bulova’s diver chronographs from the 1970s. This style was popularly known as the “Surfboard” for the distinctive blue oval “surfboard” encircling the two sub dials. This updated version features a gold-tone stainless steel case with blue and red accents and an off white dial. The dial features the notable oval in blue around the sub dials, orange tipped hour and minute hands, luminous hands and markers, and an orange chronograph second hand. Five-hand chronograph movement, domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Blue perforated silicone strap with deployant closure. Water resistance to 200 meters.

Cool piece, but much too thick
Cool watch with a neat retro look and feel. However, it's almost 15mm thick (by the way - not sure why Bulova does not include case thickness on their product pages, they really should). That's WAY too thick for a quartz watch, even if it's a chronograph. The caliber they use is only about 5mm thick, so it seems like the thickness might have been a design choice? The lugs have little to no downard curvature, which means that on top the thickness, the watch sits very high up on the wrist. All together, this eccentric and unique piece becomes extremely top heavy and ultimately too awkward on the wrist to wear.
